And I have also I heard that basically all the questionnaires at the Q&A were infiltrators. Really makes you wonder whether Charlie kirk has any real fans at all or if his entire existence is owed to koch money alone.

Do you have any fear that trump will just refuse to leave office if he loses and claim it was rigged? Because I could totally see him doing that.

Okay, so I guess what my question ACTUALLY is, then, is something more like,
Can you have a piece of media deliver a message that stirs strong emotions in you (similar to affective override), but leaves you thinking critically and rationally of that message and able to make a logically coherent argument for or against it? Or I guess in simpler terms, are strong emotions and rationality mutually exclusive.

Hi, so, I checked out your reading list and I picked up Elizabeth Sandifer's "Neoreaction: A Basilisk". It was a great read but I'm still kind of confused about what she was going for when she talked about hauntology vs. the alien; it was during a section where she broke down why Nick Land was a bad philosopher. What did you make of it? What was the overall message you took away after reading it?

I've seen some people suggest that if Sanders were to win the election, he would be assassinated and/or deposed by "the establishment" (variably meaning either the CIA, billionaires, and/or foreign governments). A lot of more people seem to have come out of the woodwork to make more of this argument in light of the coup against Evo Morales, usually following it up with something to the effect of "and if that happens, the proletariat better show 'em"
Do you think a Sanders presidency would be likely to get cut short by a coup or does this all sound like nonsense conspiracy blob?

I think a lot of Breadtube is sort of squaring this circle by selling progressive leftism without directly addressing the Alt-Right. I'm a former Alt-Lite person myself (never participated in shitty things but shared a lot of their views) and watching a lot of your stuff alongside Lindsay, Olly, Natalie, and others is what helped me get out of it.

No the workers agreed to work for them for a specific wage. The workers would not be able to do their work without the means of production which the owner pays for on his own dime. The workers had nothing to do with the means of production and hold no rights over it.

Right but their response was basically "he was supposed to just be the first step. It should've been Hillary next but Trump stole the election with (insert your choice of Cambridge Analytica, Russia, or Bernie Sanders, they use them in different combos), and now we have to start over when he leaves office." My response was basically that, well, if that's the case, doesn't that sort of prove the instability inherent to the way things are that someone like him can win the Presidency? And they said "you can't just make big changes all at once" and that's when I gave up.

Anonymous commented:
if you want to be pedantic about it, some of those words are ableist as well: delirious is a fancy word for crazy, for example. All the others are just a rundabout way to NOT say crazy (wacky, unhinged, rabit, delusional especially, all refer to behaviours seen in mentally ill people). I know this whole debacle means well, but trying to use a more obscure version of a word so that it's not immediately obvious shades light on how broken and ableist our way of thinking is, and it seems pretty futile.

What do you, personally, say to well meaning liberals who think that we just need to vote in "the right people" with "good hearts" to move society in a positive direction? I don't want to ask you what I should do since that'd be hard for you to answer, but if you've ever had to address that line of thinking, I'd really appreciate it. I feel like my parents are *this* close to getting that individual good people aren't going to solve anything themselves without changing the system itself.

Anonymous commented:
So, I absolutely don't want to accidentally hurt someone by being casually ableist, and I can "give up" all those words... But I gotta be honest, I could really use some terms for "unstable, ill-advised and/or incomprehensible behavior" that CAN be used as an insult towards the subject, without being unintentionally insulting towards anyone else, to replace the old ones.
-
Anonymous commented:
But doesn't "bugfuck" have the exact same connotations? I thought the full phrase there was also "bugfuck crazy".
-
Anonymous commented:
Is the term "batshit" ableist when used on its own because it's meaning comes from the cultural understanding that it references the expression "batshit crazy," or can it be divorced from that context?

I would believe it wasn't referencing her (Former) close friend if she didn't also indelibly stain his career by associating him with Buck Angel, which he spoke out against. Hard to defend a treacherous ghoul.

Even if that's not what Natalie meant, to disparage hbomb, isn't it kind of her fault for not being careful with her language? she could have qualified her statement with "I don't mean Harry, he's great" or something to that effect
I don't think she's the villain in this story (if even this is a "story" which I don't think it really is) but I do think that Natalie's words demonstrate a profound lack of self-awareness on her part, for if that were not the case, she would have been more aware of her words being potentially scrutinized, and thus more careful with her language. But she seems to have learned nothing
-

She wasn't talking about you fam she was talking about hbomb
who as you know, did a shit ton more than just say "DONKEY KONG TRANS RIGHTS XD". and who she threw under the bus. her close friend. hopefully former.

My exposure to far-right ideas for many years was on the basis on- and i'm being vague on purpose here- a popular website that had a lot of commenters of lot of different political backgrounds. Over time i found that i was spending a lot of time responding to and countering the public display of far-right ideas, and I only stopped at the point where i realized that going there had become, a bit like your video suggests, a place where i want to relax, but i can only get more angry, digital self harm, and that it was coarsening my beliefs without really moving my beliefs left or right. I went back after your video reminded me of that and yeah, it's got a lot worse.
What are the long term prospects to set up spaces closed to intrusion from radicalization like that?

How about the "authoritarian family, church and education" institutions? Institutions that literally suppress the natural sexuality of the person growing up? Most of us born in the 80s and 90s playing video games really ran away with most abusive parents.
