Hey, I just met you an hour ago by seeing your video about the alt right playbook and thought you made a very valid criticism. I don't wanna be that guy who says "both extremes are bad" but I wanted to ask you this:
Do you believe that the progressive left might also be kind of radicalized in a cult-ish way? I don't mean in the same way as the alt right, but there are indeed many progressive people that make it their entire personality, even when are around their friends. There is that joke about that annoying feminist that brings some political/cultural topics when no one really wants to talk about it, or turns everyting, even the most insignifficant things, into a problem
Sorry for the english, not my main language

(different anon) I'd never heard of this guy before today, and if he was involved in human trafficking I'm glad he got pinched. But the thing about this that really gets under my skin is that the insult everyone's celebrating was a fairly obvious example of body-shaming.

to what extent do all bigotries get rolled into fascism? e.g. kahanism is a jewish supremacist fascism, which at least nominally has a harsh rejection of the antisemitism common to many other fascisms. is it simply that certain contexts are resistant to specific forms of bigotry? or ought we read (in this example) the bigotry kahanists exhibit toward reform/secular jews (which often echoes "standard" antisemitic rhetoric) as kahanism embracing anti-jew bigotry? sry for the long question lmao

Serious question: How do people believe in god when there have been so many wars and catastrophes throughout history? Like, how can someone own slaves and think "yeah, there is a god that cares for every human on Earth and he will send me to heaven?"

How do you deal with wanting to make things that you "shouldn't" make? Like, I would really love to see a gender-swapped 'It's a Wonderful Life' set in the modern day, enough that I'd be willing to write a screenplay and try to get it shopped around, but I'm a dude and I know I don't enough about women (how they approach life, romance) to really do it justice

Why do so many leftists view Stalin and Mao negatively? The number of deaths that happened under their leadership is greatly exaggerated, and the select instances of political repression that did occur were almost always against elites and reactionaries; They also most certainly did not have absolute power over their nations, and instead represented the will of the people; The revolutions that brought them to power would not have succeeded without the support of the general populace; I mean; Putin and Xi Jinping are closer to being dictators than they were; (CuriousCat wouldn't let me use periods, so I used semicolons)

For what it's worth, I'm an Atheist and I generally fear death less than I did when I was christian. Actually, I remember a sociology class where my professor cited a study that found that people who strongly believe in christianity and strongly believe in atheism actually have similar, relatively low level fears of death. It's agnostics and people who are uncertain in their beliefs that have more anxiety over it. For me, I'm kind of looking forward to it in a non-suicidal sort of way. I won't have to worry about anything anymore, I'll just be an inert part of the universe. Doesn't sound too bad to me.

You don't necessarily have to believe in God to believe in an afterlife. The idea of the human soul is not an exclusively theistic concept.
