I would say I was #problematic when I was younger, but I wasn't a very extreme case of #problematic. I made jokes I regret, had opinions I cringe thinking about, deflected things I should have listened to. becoming better is a process. but I was a scrawny, unpopular nerd, and the boys at school made it absolutely clear that Male Culture did respect me, so I've never really thought I had a place in it. it's never been that hard for me to pursue different models of maleness.

I've always thought you're a really good example of healthy masculinity. Looking back, was there a time when you considered yourself or your behaviors toxic and if so what did you do to change?
