If conservatives are monsters and liberals are cowards, then are socialists and communists automatically saints then? Are Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Castro, and other dictators absolved of their crimes? I don't think generalizing someone's character based on their political beliefs is a good idea.

On top of Ronald Reagan failing to address the AIDS pandemic, he also:
- Cut taxes on the rich which did not trickle down to the middle class as expected, and instead more than doubled the federal debt.
- Funded death squads in Nicaragua using money both by funneling crack into inner cities and selling arms to Iran (his administration was more culpable in the latter)
- Helped dissolve the Soviet Union against the will of its people with the help of Mikhail Gorbachev, bringing millions into abject poverty.
- Called African leaders "monkeys" in a leaked call with Richard Nixon.
He was piece of shit.

I feel as though activists on the left aren't talking enough about what the left should actually be DOING to achieve our political goals. Meaning offline, organized direct action that leads to meaningful change. It's clear to me that the left needs to be establishing more accessible networks to facilitate activism for larger numbers of people, yet I don't see people talking about that on social media.
We can't achieve our goals without more people involved.

If there was clear steam behind a Marxist or otherwise non-libertarian revolutionary vanguard party in the US, and any Anarchist movement was not nearly as fully developed (i.e., the next few years was clearly going to end with government power in the hands of Marxists or liberals (or fascists)), which way is preferable? (This is assuming, of course, an absence of Maupin-esque nazbol shit.)
In other words, do you consider Marxist control of the state to be damaging enough to Anarchist aims and goals that the Capitalist status quo is preferable?

Exactly! It follows, therefore, that the abolition of authority doesn't inherently make an action or position further to the left, as is seen by your (and everyone else's) admission that Reagans abolition of governmental authority pushed the country to the right
